Anything but the Epstein Files
We are nine months into President Donald J. Trump's second term and yet his most important campaign promise has not been meant. In fact, it has purposely avoided and prevented from releasing by Trump and ninety-nine percent of republicans on the hill. The most infamous child sex trafficker of the modern era who had business associates all over the world. From politicians, bankers, celebrities, the list goes on and on. Yet, our President and the wider government is afraid to release the Epstein list to the point now where the government has been shut down for the first time since 2019, also under Trump. As with any government shut down, the media will be pointing all cameras and microphones at the hill and our politicians for answers. The longer this shutdown drags on the already high civil unrest in this nation will grow even more. Mass shootings and ICE raids have been constantly swarming around the news cycle in recent times, and a shutdown will only amplify these stories. Media never sleeps and it will continue to aim most of its focus on this shut down.

That’s a really interesting point you brought up. I agree that the media plays a big role in how situations like this are seen by the public. The longer the government stays shut down, the more the media keeps replaying the same images and headlines, which only makes people more frustrated and divided. I also think it shows how much the media can control the focus, instead of talking about why the shutdown is happening or what’s being hidden, they turn it into a political blame game.
ReplyDeleteThe Epstein list definitely adds another layer to this because people want answers, but it feels like the truth keeps getting delayed or covered up. When that happens, people lose trust not just in the government, but also in the media. I think if both were more transparent, there wouldn’t be as much anger or confusion. Right now, everything just feels like a cycle of distraction, and the media is right in the middle of it.
