Gun Violence, a 24/7 Story in America
Gun violence in the United States of America has been a constant issue for Americans for decades. Since 1966, there has been at least one mass shooting incident in this country and no less than four after 1990. These tragic events have taken the lives of more than 1,500 people with the majority of these events taking place at schools and workplaces. Every time one of these tragedies occur the news is quick to cover the candlelight vigils, police response times, and details on the suspect. Ranging from ethnicity, religion, job, sexual orientation, or level of education. Of course, all these factors are second to the long-held debate of gun control in America and whether or not the 2nd amendment should continue to enable citizens the ability to purchase all types of firearms, if any at all.
